Today’s Scripture

“All things are possible to him that believeth” (Mar. 9:23, KJV)

Today’s Word

Many of the most celebrated people in our world began life in some of the poorest and most humble conditions. Many had little education and no advantages. Demosthenes who was considered the greatest orator of his time stuttered. Julius Caesar was an epileptic. Thomas Edison was deaf, as was Beethoven. Andrew Carnegie started work at $4 a month. Handel and Charles Dickens were lame. Sir Walter Scott was paralyzed.

Nevertheless, these men and many others were able to overcome their disadvantages and numerous setbacks, and become successful. This is so because they all had one thing in common; they believed that success was possible in spite of their circumstances. The bible tells us that Jesus was born in the poorest and most humble conditions, yet in spite of these things, he overcame all the odds and achieved success like no other. He then told us in the bible that we too can achieve anything if we simply believe.

Jesus revealed to us in the bible that all things are possible to anyone who merely believes. In other words, despite numerous disadvantages, which can make it extremely difficult to achieve your goals, belief in God and his willingness to help you, will propel you towards success. What is great is that believing in spite of the odds is something that anyone can do. As long as we have faith in God and what is written in the bible we can summon up the power to believe. Therefore, let me encourage you to believe in spite of your circumstances and God will somehow and in someway enable you to overcome your challenges and make your dreams come true.

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father we thank you for your great love and compassion. You sent Jesus into the world; who was raised in the poorest and most humble conditions, to be an example of what can happen in life if we believe. When believing becomes difficult for us please strengthen our capacity to do so; that we may experience success and enjoy the abundant life that you have made available to us, in Jesus name. Amen.
